Centerra Gold

Centerra Gold is a Canadian-based gold mining and exploration company. It is engaged in the operation, exploration, development and acquisition of gold properties in North America, Asia and other markets worldwide. Centerra has two flagship assets: The Mount Milligan Mine and the Kumtor Mine, located in Canada and the Kyrgyz Republic, respectively.

Centerra has played an active role in promoting the EITI Standard. We believe the EITI contributes to improving governance in resource-rich countries through the verification and publication of all company payments to governments as well as government-reported revenues from oil, gas and mining. The EITI Standard is implemented by signatory governments with an international multi-stakeholder structure at the core of the initiative.

Statement of Support

Engagement with the EITI

Centerra has supported the implementation of the EITI Standard in Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia. The company's mine in the Kyrgyz Republic was among the first to sign on, report and help improve the EITI process in the country.

Strengthening transparency

In its annual report on Extractive Sector Transparency Measure Act (ESTMA), Centerra publicly discloses its payments to governments. Centerra's ESTMA reports are available on the company's website.
