María Ángeles Hidalgo
Language and Coordination Officer - Latin America & the Caribbean
María Ángeles supports the Latin America and the Caribbean team by coordinating communication in Spanish and strengthening collaboration across the region. She works to ensure that information is accurate, accessible and shared effectively among stakeholders.
Before joining the EITI, she worked as a project manager, gaining extensive experience in project planning, event management and fostering cooperation among governments, companies and civil society. She has lectured at Universidad San Francisco in Quito and produced a podcast in Oslo exploring trends in higher education.
Originally from Ecuador and now based in Oslo, María Ángeles holds two master’s degrees from Griffith University in Australia and the University of Oslo.
Outside work, she enjoys design, photography, football and exploring Norway’s hiking trails and cafés.
