Outcome of Mali's Targeted Assessment
On 18 July 2024, the Board concluded that Mali has achieved "fully met" on Requirement 1.1 on government engagement, "mostly met" on Requirements 1.3 and 2.3 on civil society engagement and license registers, and "partly met" on Requirements 2.2 and 2.4 on contracts and license allocations and contracts in view of the 2019 EITI Standard.
The assessment of Mali’s progress in implementing EITI Requirements 1.1, 1.3, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 of the EITI Standard commenced in October 2023. The assessment was mandated by the EITI Board in line with Board decision 2023-21 / BM-55.
