The African Conference on Debt and Development (AfCoDD III) is an annual forum that brings together political, technical and civic leaders from Africa to deliberate and agree on commitments that safeguard the macroeconomic sustainability of the continent towards achieving the structural transformation espoused in Agenda 2063.
The EITI is hosting a side event, "Resource-backed loans: Risks and opportunities", which brings together organisations working to promote understanding, accountability and transparency of resource-backed loans. The session will introduce the new disclosure requirements of the EITI Standard on resource-backed loans, and will explain how countries and companies can improve their disclosure practices in this area. The session is moderated by Fatma Nyambura, EITI Policy Manager.
