Lisa Sviland

Lisa supports the implementation of EITI in Europe.

Prior to joining the EITI, Lisa served as a research assistant at the University of Oslo, where she contributed to a research project, “Oil in Transition”, which focused on renewable energy developments in the Middle East. Her work primarily centred on the political aspects of fossil fuel dependency, energy transition and climate change discourse in the Gulf states.

Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic, with a research focus on sustainability, energy security and climate change discourse. During her free time, Lisa enjoys cooking, skiing and learning new languages.
