Melina Ackermann
Country Officer – Francophone Africa & MENA
Melina supports EITI implementation in Francophone Africa and Middle Eastern & Northern African (MENA) countries. She supports primarily Senegal and Togo. She previously supported the Europe team, the assessment of EITI supporting companies and the International Secretariat’s energy transition work.
Prior to joining the EITI, she contributed to the German Corporation for International Cooperation’s (GIZ) impact analysis of its extractives project portfolio. She gained research experience as an overseas consultant at the London School of Economics and Political Science and as a research assistant for the Centre for Science & Security Studies (CSSS).
Melina has a background in international relations and holds a dual master’s degree in International Peace & Security (King’s College London) and Human Rights & Humanitarian Action (Sciences Po Paris). Her interests include reading, mindfulness and painting. She is based in Oslo, Norway.
