
Nassim Bennani Kabchi
Regional Director – Francophone Africa
Nassim is acting Regional Director for the Francophone African countries and responsible for the oversight of EITI implementation in the region. He also supports the following countries directly: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Gabon and Republic of Congo. He also supports the Policy team on commodity trading transparency and Domestic Revenue Mobilization.
Prior to joining the EITI, Nassim spent over 10 years in the private oil & gas sector. After working for the oilfield service company Saipem on project control in Azerbaijan, he joined the multinational Total where he held various positions in France, Norway and the UK including financial modelling on acquisitions worldwide, commercial negotiations and investor relations.
Nassim is an engineer from Ecole des Mines de Paris. He also holds a M.S in Petroleum Economics and Management from IFP School and a M.S. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. Outside of work, he enjoys learning languages, astrophysics, waterpolo and playing football.
