Nyasha Vera
Communications Officer
Nyasha is a Communications Officer and leads on global communications of the Opening Extractives programme jointly implemented with Open Ownership. She is responsible for managing all strategic communication activity plans to enhance the programme’s reputation and engaging with various government, civil society and company stakeholders. She also provides regional communication support to ten countries on the programme and other EITI implementing countries including Argentina, Armenia, Ghana, Mongolia, Nigeria, Senegal, Indonesia and Zambia.
Before joining EITI, Nyasha worked in the humanitarian sector, implementing national and regional communication plans for development between Norway and Southern Africa. She has extensive experience in international relations, corporate social engagement, and capacity building.
Nyasha holds a Bachelor's Honors degree with distinction and a Master's degree from Oslo Metropolitan University. Her personal interests include volunteer work, archery, and hiking.
