Codelco

Codelco is Chile’s state-owned copper producer since 1971. Codelco operates seven mines and four smelters, all located in Chile.

In line with the Corporation’s policy on transparency, through our participation in the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), we support the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), a global initiative whose goal is to build partnerships in developing countries to strengthen government transparency and accountability.

Engagement with the EITI 

The company does not have operations in EITI implementing countries and provides all reporting information required by national regulations regarding transparency of revenues.

In October 2011, Codelco entered the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM). The ICMM contributes to the international EITI on behalf of all its members. Codelco is a member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and follows its guidelines for the Development of Sustainability Reports. Read more about Codelco's reporting on Codelco's website
