The Board concluded that Tanzania is eligible for an extension for the second Validation.
Decision on the extension of Tanzania's Validation
Although Tanzania is not facing exceptional circumstances to be eligible for an extension of its second Validation deadline under Requirement 8.5 of the EITI Standard, the Board agrees that Tanzania’s second Validation will commence on 1 July 2019. Tanzania’s second Validation was scheduled to begin on 25 April 2019. In taking this decision, the Board considered the progress made towards meeting the deadline and alignment between Validation and deadlines for EITI reporting.
