AngloGold Ashanti is a global gold mining company with a diverse portfolio of operations, projects and exploration activities in four regions: Continental Africa, Americas, Australasia and South Africa. The company is headquartered in Johannesburg.

Our public policy and broader stakeholder engagement work are essential to maintain our social licence to operate. We actively support the objectives of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) and the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), among others, which help us improve our performance and find areas of mutual interest and cooperation to co-design solutions.

Engagement with the EITI

AngloGold Ashanti participates actively in multi-stakeholder groups in EITI implementing countries such as Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ghana, Tanzania and Mali. 

Strengthening transparency

AngloGold Ashanti provides data for all the countries where it operates, independent of whether the countries are implementing the EITI Standard.
