Now entering its 28th year, Africa Oil Week  brings together governments, national and international oil companies, independents, investors and service providers.

The EITI will moderate and lead several panels and events throughout the week: 

Building the National Oil Company for the future energy scenario

Monday, 3 October 15:30

Moderated by Gisela Granado, Policy Director

This session will cover how African National Oil Companies (NOCs) can evolve and adapt to survive and thrive in a low carbon future. It will also discuss whether NOCs should be considering developing new revenue sources as the world moves along the energy transition.  

EITI SOE Leaders’ Summit

The SOE Leaders’ Summit is a space for representatives of state-owned enterprises from around the world to meet, share experiences, provide expertise and champion transparency practices.

Stimulating investment in the African region: Creating the perfect environment for development and growth through regulation

This session will dive deeper into what investment funds and banks need to see to invest. It will discuss how there is more pressure now more than ever for African governments to improve their fiscal and regulatory terms and attract new upstream investment.

EITI Africa Energy Dialogue

Wednesday 5 October 16:00-17:30 in Stage D (Protea, CTICC 2)

Led by the EITI International Secretariat, Chaired by the Honourable Francess Piagie Alghali, Minister of State, Office of the Vice-President, Sierra Leone

This session for Ministers and high-level government representatives will discuss opportunities for using EITI disclosures to inform national planning and debate around the energy transition. This year’s dialogue will be chaired by the Honourable Francess Piagie Alghali, Minister of State, Office of the Vice-President, Sierra Leone and will focus on enhancing energy access and energy security in Africa.
