Beneficial ownership workshop

The EITI will hold a workshop on beneficial ownership for MSG members from Kazakhstan and government officials working on embedding beneficial ownership in legislation; support revising and strengthening a draft beneficial ownership roadmap according to requirement 2.5.b.ii. of the EITI Standard.

In particular, the workshop aims to provide guidance on questions related to definition of beneficial owner, level of details, collection methods and verification procedures.

Deliver a pre-validation workshop for Kazakhstan and ensure the MSG and national secretariat understand the validation process, are familiar with major documents and will be able to bring knowledge back to their constituencies, and eventually undertake a successful validation.  The self-assessment exercises intend to help the country identify shortcomings and quick remedial actions ahead of Validation.
