Mrs. Aminata Ly Faye culminates more than 20 years of experience in the private sector.
After working for a Canadian firm on a tax reform project in Mali, Mrs. Faye joined the Government of Canada at her Embassy in Dakar, where during 16 years she guided the Canadian private sector in its expansion in Senegal and in Guinea. She advised companies on various issues and facilitated their access to authorities and potential local partners. She coached local SMEs in the sub-region to catalyze their business ties with Canadian companies. Since May 2018, Mrs. Faye joined Sabodala Gold Operations (SGO), a subsidiary of ENDEAVOUR MINING, as Corporate Affairs Manager for Senegal. Supporting the Vice-President Public Affairs, she is in charge of strengthening the SGO relationships with public and private institutions in Senegal, thus positioning the company as a leading partner.
Mrs. Faye also has a special interest in issues related to ESG. She holds a Certificate in Management and Strategy of CSR from McGill University, a BSc in Economics from the Université du Québec and a MBA from the University of Ottawa (Canada). Mrs. Faye is a member of Women in Mining Senegal, and joined in 2016 the Women Investment Club, a Senegalese investment club.
