Board agreed to extend CowaterSogema International as the Independent Validator for the 2019 Validations.
Decision on the Independent Validator
The Board agreed to extend the contract of CowaterSogema International as the Independent Validator for the 2019 Validations. This recommendation is based on the small number of first Validations scheduled for 2019 and the Independent Validator’s satisfactory performance with regards to the 2018 Validations. The appointment is subject to successful contract negotiations.
The incoming Board will consider options for the role of the Independent Validator going forward, including procurement of the Independent Validator for subsequent years, upon assuming functions in June 2019. Additional information on the Validator procurement process is available from the International Secretariat.
