Membership of the ICMM also requires a clear endorsement of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). Of the countries in which we operate or have interests, the EITI only applies to Argentina where we have exposure through the Altar project.
Strengthening transparency
Sibanye Stillwater is a member of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM). As a member, it endorses the ICMM position statements regarding transparency of mineral revenues. ICMM contributes to the EITI on behalf of its members.
The company's integrated reporting aligns with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. Sibanye Stillwater also takes into account the International Council on Mining and Metals' guiding principles as well as the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
