EITI Mediterranean Roundtable

  • 25 – 26 November 2008
EITI Mediterranean Roundtable

Co-hosted by
Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank,
and Peter Eigen, Chairman of the EITI

The Roundtable will bring together government and company representatives from the Mediterranean’s Southern (Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, plus Sudan) and Northern (Spain, France, Italy, plus Norway) neighbours to discuss the growing demands for corporate social responsibility and transparency in the extractive industries, in the context of current debates about energy security, investment, price volatility and growth. They will also evaluate the benefits of implementing or supporting the EITI in North African resource-rich countries.
