On 17 June 2019, Sierra Leone was found to have made meaningful progress in implementing the EITI Standard. See Board decision 2019-46/BM-43

  • June 2018: Validation extension request sent from Sierra Leone EITI
  • 1 July 2018: First Validation commencement date
  • 4 September 2018: The EITI Board agreed that Sierra Leone is ineligible for an extension of the commencement of Validation, Board Decision 2018-48
  • 4 September 2018: Validation commenced
  • 5-9 November 2018: Country visit
