Peer Learning Event for EITI Implementing Francophone Countries in Africa

Peer Learning Event for EITI Implementing Francophone Countries in Africa

  • 28 – 30 November 2017

Representatives from thirteen countries in Francophone Africa will meet in Yaoundé on 28-30 November. Regional gatherings are an opportunity to draw on cross-cutting issues and to promote debate and dialogue amongst countries. The main target audiences are the EITI Champions, MSG representatives and national secretariat staff. This workshop aims to share experiences between countries that have been Validated and address common barriers to compliance with the EITI Standard. It also seeks to explore options for mainstreaming transparency and public disclosure of data in government systems; and to take stock of progress with beneficial ownership disclosures.
